CONTINUING EDUCATION

All Associate and Qualifying Brokers shall successfully complete 30 credit hours of continuing education in courses approved by the New Mexico Real Estate Commission during each licensing cycle. All Brokers shall successfully complete the approved 8 credit hour Real Estate Commission Mandatory Course during each licensing cycle. Of the remaining 22 credit hours, a minimum of 12 must be taken from approved continuing education courses. Up to ten credit hours may be taken from approved training courses.

The National Association of Realtors (NAR) requires REALTORS® to complete ethics training once every four years. REALTORS® completing such training during any four year cycle shall not be required to complete additional ethics training as a requirement of membership in any other board or association. Failure to complete the training shall be considered a violation of NAR membership and, therefore, REALTOR® membership shall be suspended until the ethics training has been completed.
